Eastern:
Declared Fiesta of special regional interest
San Pedro de Osma:
2 August. Dedicated to the the founder of the village.
Virgen del Espino y San Roque:
14 to 19 August. This Fiesta dates back to 1600.

Aranda del Duero

Fiesta in honor to the “comuneros”
23 April. Fiesta to commemorate the defeat of the Comuneros on this date by the army of Charles I in 1521.
Cruz de Mayo (The May Cross):
3 May. This cross is taken down from the church of San Juan (Saint John) where it normally stands and it is taken to the main square where the locals will receive it dancing.
Natividad de Nuestra Señora (Fiesta of the Virgin of the vineyard):
8 September. The underground bodegas are open to the public and there is a parade of giants and cabezudos (people with a big head).

Roa de Duero

Romería Virgen vega:
Celebrated twice a year: Second Sunday in May and 8 September. A romería is a pilgrimage in which all women carry rosemary sprigs as an offering to the virgin.
Patron Fiestas of San Roque and Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.
14 to 19 August. This Fiesta is well-known for its bull runs, garlic soups and its open air celebrations.

Easter sunday:
Traditional representation of the Angel’s announcement of Jesuschrist resurrection. Declared Fiesta of special regional interest.
Fiestas of Nuestra Señora and Fiestas de San Roque:
Famous for its bull runs, bull fights and a traditional dance called Chundara. Declared Fiesta of special regional interest .
Riberexpo:
19 to 21 May (in 2007). Wine exhibition with the representation of many wineries in the region. Wine tasting sessions are organised.

Quintanilla de Onésimo

Fiesta in honor to the “comuneros”
23 April. Fiesta to commemorate the defeat of the Comuneros on this date by the army of Charles I in 1521.
The inmaculate ascension and Saint Roque:
16 August de Agosto. Folliowing a long traditions that dates back to the XVI century, a picnic is organised in tha Main Square where wine plays a major role.
Wine Harvest Festival:
September. A wine press is installed in the Main Square so that everybody can try the must and eat typical local pastries.

Valladolid

Easter
People carry religious representations throguh the streets of Valladolid. This Fiesta is declared of international interest and it is one of Spain’s most important Easter celebrations.
