Hacienda Unamuno - Wine Hotel:

In the middle of the Natural Park of Arribes del Duero, and very close to the Almendra reservoir, you will find Hacienda Unamuno. The name of this estate is in honour to the writer and philosopher Miguel de Unamuno. You will enjoy peaceful walks among its olive trees and vineyards. The hotel, the estates’restaurant, and its wines, can be complemented with organized sightseeing activities (4 wheel drive, yacht, etc.) that you can arrange on request.

Wineries between Ledesma and Salamanca:

Hacienda Zorita - Wine Hotel:

Less than 10 km away from Salamanca and closet o the river Tormes, you will find the impressive bulding of Hacienda Zorita. We recommend you visit this winery and to learn about their wine making process. Similar to Hacienda Unamuno or Abascal, this winery also offers a hotel and a luxurious restaurant where it is possible to follow wine tasting, wine and food pairing classes and cooking classes. Its proximity to Salamanca, its fantastic setting near the Tormes River, and its architectural value, make a visit to this estate worth a detour.

Grupo Yllera - Bodega "El Hilo de Ariadna"

The Yllera group is one of the biggest wineries in Castille-Léon and has set up in the town of Rueda one of the main attractions for wine tourists in the area: the winery "El Hilo de Ariadna". It consists in a maze of wineries, which will take you in 10 underground cellars, in each of which you will be introduced to one of their wines. The whole trip is based on the old Legend of  the Maze of the Minotaurus: by following the “string” which enabled Theseus to escape, we will take part in magical tour surrounded by mythological references and mudejar arches. This is a very original way to discover Yllera´s best wines and their magic.
The winery in which the wine is actually made is only a few kilometres away. The visit may include both wineries.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 10:30am-1:30am and 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Saturday and Sunday: 10:30am to 2:30 pm. The price to visit the 2 wineries (includes wine tasting) is 7 Euros. If a traditional local meal is included in the bodega the price is 40 Euros.
