Marbella

Cruz de Juanar (Cross):
3 May. There is a pilgrimage in honour to this Cross.
San Bernabé:
11 June. Fiestas in honor to the Patron Saint of Marbella in which many different activities are organized.
Verbenas Populares (Street fairs):
From July to October. In the summer, there are parties with ball concerts and competitions in the different neighbourhoods of Marbella.
Feria de Málaga:
15 August. Important summer fiesta with fire shows, concerts, competitions and balls.

Ojén

Fiestas in Ojén:
9 to 12 October. Fiestas in honour to the local patron. Flamenco music and dancing and tasting of local food are part of the celebration.

Ronda

Feria de Pedro Romero:
February. Fiesta in honour to the bull-fighter Pedro Romero. Bull-fighting is the key element in the celebration.
Semana Santa (Easter):
This celebration has been declared of National tourist interest.
Real Feria de Mayo:
Second fornight in May. This is one of the oldest fiestas in Andalucia. All vistors can taste typical local products, including their wines, and discover the local artcraft.

Arriate

Carnival:
During this merry celebration the locals dress up and typical comparsas (joyful choirs) sing through the day.
Romería of the May Cross:
First Sunday of May. The locals walk to the Hermitage to celebrate and party.
Corpus Day:
29 June

Málaga

Carnival:
The celebrations last for 10 days, around Ash Wednesday.
San Juan:
23-24 June. In each district of Malaga, the festivities begin two days before the actual day of San Juan.
Virgen del Carmen:
16 de July. The typical procession of the Virgin del Carmen is held on 16th July, and is particularly celebrated in those districts of the city with maritime tradition.
Feria de Málaga (Malaga Fair):
15 de August.
